Kamala Harris says X-rated podcast ‘Call Her Daddy’ talks about ‘things people really care about’ – as Hurricane Helene’s effects rage on

Vice President Kamala Harris was criticized Monday for appearing on the X-rated podcast “Call Her Daddy” as large swaths of the Southeast struggle to participate in the wake of one of the deadliest storms in U.S. history — because Harris said the program discusses “people stuff really care about”.

The podcast, hosted by Alex Cooper, is usually a freewheeling — and graphic — discussion of sex aimed at a female audience.

The episode with Harris, aired on Sunday, was devoted to discussing topics including abortion and domestic abuse – with the piece angering some listeners by claiming there are “no” laws controlling men’s bodies, forgetting or ignoring that men must register for possible military conscription at age 18.

Harris recorded the interview during the aftermath of Hurricane Helene, which killed 232 people on the East Coast.

“I think you and your listeners got this right, which is one of the best ways to communicate with people is to be real, you know, and talk about things that people really care about ,” Harris told Cooper.

But many critics pointed out that the podcast did not touch on pressing issues at all.

“I’m sorry but I don’t give af- about Kamala Harris going on Call Her Daddy – a podcast about women and women’s sexual health when we are LITERALLY UNDERWATER,” wrote one X user.

Former President Donald Trump’s campaign also argued that Harris should have missed the podcast.

Collin Rugg, co-owner of Trending Politics, blasted the vice president for participating in an explicit podcast, while more critics took issue with her statement that “no” government laws do not control male bodies.

“Kamala Harris and the chick Call Her Daddy try to pass some government law that controls a man’s body. Both say there isn’t one. Then laugh. The correct answer is, yes, the draft. Which has cost over a million male lives in US history,” wrote Outkick founder Clay Travis on X.

Harris did not detail any new policies in the interview, but spoke at length about the appointment of the three Supreme Court justices who voted to overturn Roe v. Wade and return abortion regulation to the states.

She also called Trump’s running mate, Sen. JD Vance, “mean-spirited” for referring to the “childless cat ladies” who ran the US government.

Trump, 78, has been repeatedly invited to appear on the podcast but has yet to give an official response, according to a source close to the discussions.
